AVNSC HOUND MINOR PUPPY

1st Woodward Tervanty Magic Dragon Whippet, beautifully feminine throughout, nice dark pigment and scissor bite. Long, lean neck with a lovely arch, well laid shoulders leading into a graceful arch over the loin, deep chest, and straight forelegs, moved well in all directions displaying reach and drive, Best Puppy in Group, Reserve Best in Group and Best Puppy in Show.

2nd Rose Merryline Martha With Rosencrantz. Miniature Wire Haired Dachshund, feminine head and expression, deep chest, correct coat, moved well in all directions.

AVNSC HOUND PUPPY

1st Willey & Hofstetter Lawleymoon Elba Castillo. Whippet, masculine head, long arched neck into well laid shoulders, deep chest, well knuckled feet, powerful hind quarters with nice angles, moved well.

2nd Cross Whilloer Girl On Fire At Pedara. Cirneco Dell’etna, feminine head with correct scissor bite, nice length of neck leading into well-muscled body and ribbed well back, moved OK but was unsettled today and giving her handler a hard time.

AVNSC HOUND SPECIAL YEARLING

1st Rose Barratini Song And Dance With Rosencrantz JW. Miniature Wire Haired Dachshund, presented a lovely outline on the stand, slightly domed skull with dark pigment and correct scissor bite, nice length of neck leading into well laid shoulders, good depth of chest, well sprung ribs, and strong, muscular hind quarters. Showed great drive on the move. Best in Group

2nd Whitmore Kierpark Power Of Love At Whitleara. Whippet, feminine head with scissor bite, long arched neck leading to well laid shoulders and a good deep chest, well-muscled hind quarters and moved well in profile, slightly preferred front movement of 1 today.

1st Rose Pennydach Mystique At Rosencrantz. Miniature Smooth Haired Dachshund, Feminine head, scissor bite, nice lay of shoulder, level topline and moved well in all directions.

AVNSC HOUND VETERAN

1st Whitmore Whitleara Truly Scrumpy. Whippet, Beautiful head and expression, well laid shoulders into a well ribbed body and muscular loin, well-set tail, moved true fore and aft and showed reach and drive in profile. Best Veteran in Group.

AVNSC TOY MINOR PUPPY. 

1st Starleisha Prada Paws, 7-month-old, black and white Havanese, M.  Well, made, with a straight front. Good level of bone, very happy outgoing personality.  Well presented, Moved well. Best puppy in group.

AVNSC TOY PUPPY

1st Contontricks Miss Sunshine, 10 month old Havanese bitch, well presented with a soft coat, good body, correct bite. A little on the shy side, when on the move, but had a positive action when going.

AVNSC JUNIOR

1st Chestnutcres beam me  12-month-old Chinese crested, lovely head, with nice erect ears. Correct dark eye, slightly nervous to be gone over, but showed good reach and drive when on the move.

AVNSC TOY OPEN

1st Cridensa Connor 2 year old CKCS, Very well presented, ruby male, making a graceful picture on the stand. Good compact feet, with good bone, with shoulders well laid back. Happy outgoing personality, good free moving action, and made a lovely picture when going round the ring. Best in group.

2nd Starleosha Midnight kiss 6 year old Havanese B,  very well presented and in good condition for age, nice soft coat, correct bite, nice tight feet, good body with level topline, good springy action when on the move.

AVNSC TOY VETERAN

1st Creidensa Conrad ShCM ShCEx VW, nearly 9 year old ruby male, a lovely example of the breed, good moderate length of neck leading into a good front with straight legs. Good turn of stifle. Nice free moving action, in lovely condition for age. Res Best in group, Best Veteran in group.

AVNSC UTILITY MINOR PUPPY

1st Ruption Knightcott Hells Bells 6-month-old brindle French bulldog, very cheeky happy personality. Well, made, with good level of bone, head in proportion, with nice clean dark eye, correct ear making a striking image on the stand. Good flowing action, when going.  Best puppy in group

2nd Ricox Look Out Cos Here I Come With Lacoral 7 month old Tibetan Spaniel. Nice correct head, carried proudly, nice dark oval eye, strong neck leading in to straight front, firm body with good spring of rib. A little distracted when on the move, but still made a positive action when moving.

AVNSC UTILITY PUPPY

1st Serenci bring me sunshine 6-month-old,Min poodle, black dog, well balanced on the stand, making a pleasing image, happy personality. Nice dark eye, correct bite, good length of neck leading into laid back shoulders, nice tight foot, well-muscled hinder quarters, good coat, and well presented.

1st J’adoremy Thundering Heart 13 month Shih Tzu male, nice alert expression, Nice broad head, with ample amount of muzzle, dark clean eyes, nicely arched neck leading into well laid shoulders. Nice round feet. Smooth-flowing action when going.

AVNSC UTILITY GRADUATE

1st Rupton Knightcott Back in Black JW  3 year old brindle bitch, good head in portion to body, nice dark eye, good bat ears framing the face. Well-muscled hinderquarters, good tight feet. Free flowing action when on the move. Res best in group

1st Layoli firecracker at Miksang 7-year-old TT black D, well balanced on the stand presenting a pleasing image, nice head, with large eye, strong muzzle with correct bite, good strong neck, leading in to good laid-back shoulders and straight front. Good compact body, and well-muscled hindquarters, effortless stride round the ring, Presented in lovely condition for age. Best in group, Best veteran in group,  and was later pleased to watch go, Res Best in Show Res best veteran in show,

AVNSC PASTORAL MINOR PUPPY

1st Thymestar seven 7 month old pem corgi, very happy outgoing personality, good head with alert expression,  nice pricked ears, good spring of ribs, with level topline. Strong hindquarters with good bend of stifle.  Nice free active action, when moving.

2nd Calsam song of the spirit 6-month-old Samoyed, B, nice wedge shape head, with pleasing expression, good body, with good spring of rib, was on the naughtier side today, so movement was a little erratic, not the cleanest of coats.

1st Serenlas Borrowed heaven 9 month old rough collie, head in portion to body, with flat skull. Nice medium eye giving a sweet expression, correct bite, fair length of neck, deep chest,  Best puppy in group.

AVNSC PASTORAL SPECIAL YEARLING

1st Accra The Triwizard, attractive nearly 2 year old B, balanced on the stand, head in portion to body, moderate size of ear, making a pleasing expression when alert. Correct bite, good moderate length of neck, Leading into well laid back shoulders, and straight front. Good body, and deep chest, well muscled and worked. Had a lovely free flowing action, making a lovely image on the move. Best in group.

2nd Valaller the photographer 22 month Swedish Vallhund D, a very smart dog. Lovely alert expression, with dark eye, ears held well, correct bite. Well muscled body, with strong loin. Good deep chest, good angulation on the rear. Good free action on the move.

AVNSC PASTORAL GRADUATE

1st well presented M bearded collie, nice broad head, with large eye, correct bite, moderate length of neck, level topline which was carried on the move, well muscled hinderquarters, smooth action. Res Best in group

2nd Nanterstar Mazikeen 2 year old Pem corgi, nice alert expression, with ears held pricked, with a round eye. Long neck, leading to well spring of ribs, moved okay.

AVNSC PASTORAL OPEN

1st Blenmerrow ring of the roses,  4 year old smart sheltie B, Intelligent expression with a pleasing head, nice almond shaped eyes, well arched neck, with good lay of shoulder. Moved well.

AVNSC PASTORAL VETERAN

1st Scullymadra Greenhill ASD, 9 and half year-old B, in beautiful condition for age, pleasing expression, head in proportion to body, with a well defined stop. Ears held correct, moderate length of neck, good lay of shoulder. Well muscled hindquarters, sound smooth powerful action, pleasing image on the stand & move. Best veteran in group

2nd Trelowen Amelia at Frostisen 7 year old NBH B, made a pleasing outline on the stand, well balanced, broad head with ears held erect, good length of neck, leading into straight front, nice deep chest, moved soundly.

AVNSC PASTORAL IMPORTED REGISTER

1st Kontrastas Leonhar, 16 month old White Swiss Sheperd, made an eye-catching outline on the stand, balanced, clean wedged head, with dark brown eye, ears set high and parallel, making a pleasing expression. Strong jaw, well arched neck with a slight sloping shoulder, had a powerful action on the move, when settled.

WORKING

AVNSC WORKING MINOR PUPPY

1st Kaskae show me the monet avec Keighanya,  6 month Alaskan malamute D, well made with strong bone, happy outgoing personality, nice broad head with pleasing expression, correct bite. Nice arch to neck, leading into a good deep chest, well muscled hinderquarters, was a little overexcited on the move, but when settled had a good rhythmic action. Res best in group & Best puppy in group.

AVNSC WORKING GRADUATE

1st Morwinas Yggdrasdil NUI, 3 year old Leo M, with a pleasing expression, strong head, with nice eye, ears set high, deep chest and firm loin, ring a bit too small to get the correct movement.

AVNSC WORKING OPEN

1st Morwinas Torrinsdottir 3 year old Leo B, Balanced image on the stand, nice balanced head, good body and well made, with good deep chest. Elbows set close to the body, nice tight feet, nice well laid-back shoulders, good bend to stifle, covered the ground well. Best in group

BEST IN SHOW

My thanks to the society for this very special appointment. In 1974 my Miniature Poodle won Reserve Best in show at this show when it was actually held in Yeovil, I cannot believe that was 50 years ago.

BEST IN SHOW There was a lovely quality line up presented to me for the ultimate award, which went to the very handsome and workmanlike Flat Coat Retriever Moon's Llantrussa Sorrento Moon Such a fine upstanding boy. He moved like he could go on all day. In such fit, hard condition. His coat was gleaming. Super temperament. Happy wagging tail as seems to be the norm with this breed.

RESERVE BEST IN SHOW another jet black dog who also was gleaming with condition. Layoli Firecracker at Miksang Tibetan Terrier male. Solid male, with the darkest of eyes. He really made the most of the small ring moving out for all he was worth. Sound coming and going. Presented in great coat.

BEST PUPPY IN SHOW Woodward's Whippet Tervanty Magic Dragon. I was completely blown away by this delightful young lady. Just 6 months old and showing like she had been in the ring forever. What you see is what you get and for me she had it all. Class in abundance. She had earlier been my puppy stakes winner so I was thrilled to see her in the puppy line up. Am certain she is going to go on to much greater things. Will watch her career with much interest. Would have been my 'take back home with me' choice

BEST VETERAN IN SHOW Luczynski Baladeva Scarlett Letters For Kanara ShCM ShCEX VW. Gorgeous 9 year old Am Cocker Spaniel. She never put a foot wrong. She has the loveliest of heads, great body condition and presented in super bloom.

2nd Smith's Ricox Look Out Cos Here I Come with Lacoral Very very pretty & month old Tibetan Spaniel. Another promising puppy. Such a pretty head Was so unlucky to meet the Whippet. She just needs a tad more confidence which will come with maturity.

LUCILLE SAWTELL MEMORIAL SPECIAL YEARLING STAKES 

1st Howe's Valaller The Photographer Swedish Vallhund male. My notes just say WOW!!! if anyone wants to go over a dog that is fit for function then this is the dog for you. Hard as nails, not and ounce of fat on him. Out moved everything else in this class. An absolute pleasure to judge.

2nd Thompson's Ashgate Kelso WHWT. Smart young lady and so very typically Ashgate. Ultra short, super head with well placed ears. Looks so balanced when stacked and moved very soundly.
